OUTSIDE OF WORK

I grew up in a military environment, so I lived in many countries outside of the United States. I was once deployed to Iraq for over 17 months and lived in Germany and South Korea for more than two years at each location. I am passionate about leading strategic cybersecurity efforts that involve the U.S. Government. I hold a Doctorate degree in Information Technology, a recipient of Harvard Kennedy School Executive Eduction completing the intersection of policy and technology certificate program. I am also currently working towards the Gartner aspiring CIO certificate program and active on Linkedin sharing and collaborating with many people within the cybersecurity community. I am also passionate about shaping the next generation cybersecurity workforce — mentoring aspiring IT and cybersecurity leaders. I am a part-time professor at Georgetown University, developing and teaching cybersecurity courses.

Finally, I am a father of two (well, three if you count our pup Teddy) beautiful girls, Ava and Ella, and married to the most incredible and super beautiful wife, Leanna. My family is my universe, and I am very grateful for everything we have. I enjoy photography (when I have time), a good beer (white beer or any non-bitter/hoppy beers), and movies.
